The Piper Computer Kit is a revolutionary learning system that teaches engineering and programming through seamless integration of physical building, engaging storylines, & circuit-based coding tutorials. And it comes with everything kids need to build their own fully functional computer.
This kit received a complete over-hall regarding its structural durability for in-classroom use & substantial reduction of the BOM cost while improving over-all quality of components.
HIGHLIGHT: SPEAKER ASSEMBLY.
User testing revealed an opportunity to teach students how to assemble from scratch their own DIY speaker, amplifier board, & volume control dial. The redesigned greatly improves the computer’s overall sound quality, building experience, & how teachers discuss the concept of sound energy.
The unlimited rebuilding & durability is a must have for multi-semesters of use (bring on the drop tests). The wooden pieces no longer splinter during the reassembly process due to increased edge widths, fillet edges, & maximized hole distances. All tolerance based fits were removed to significantly reduce production failure rates. The overall improved structural integrity has increase the life cycle by 5+ years.
